Umpqua Bank Disaster Relief Loans Available to Communities in Need

Last updated October 14, 2020
The wildfires that have broken out throughout our footprint have caused incredible damage, upending lives and forcing thousands to evacuate—and the danger is far from over. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the fires, and we’re dedicated to helping our communities recover however we can.

Help for Homeowners

If your home has been damaged or destroyed by wildfires, or if wildfires have affected your ability to pay your mortgage, we may be able to help. Visit our Help Center to learn more about disaster forbearance, mortgage insurance, and other relief programs available to homeowners who have been affected by natural disasters.

For Umpqua-serviced Home Loan customers whose homes burned in a FEMA Major Disaster Declaration area in our core footprint, we will waive the Umpqua fees if you choose to purchase an existing home somewhere else in our footprint.

If you lost your home due to wildfire and choose to rebuild on the same property, we will waive all Umpqua fees on a new construction or renovation loan. Home must be in a FEMA Major Disaster Declaration area in our core footprint; owner-occupied only.

Disaster Relief Loans

We've created an emergency personal loan program for customers in the affected areas who have been financially impacted by the fires. Qualifying customers can apply for a Disaster Relief Loan of up to $10,000 at a reduced interest rate (subject to credit approval). We hope this can help you with short-term repair expenses, a major purchase or whatever you need to get by.
